Who went: Paul and Frances J. Provost.
Occupation: Real estate brokers and owners of Provost and Associates Realty in Lodi.
The trip: This was a grand journey of 35 days, including a 32-day voyage abroad a cruise ship, embarking in Singapore. Ports-of-call included seven countries: Malaysia, Thailand, India, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Madagascar and South Africa.
Highlights: Playing a round of golf in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where the world's tallest building, The Burj Khalifa or Burj Dubai is located was most exciting. Our visit to Mumbai, India, location of the Taj Mahal Hotel area, where the 2008 attacks occurred was quite an eye-opening experience. Finally, our last port-of-call, Cape Town, South Africa, was a very historical occasion, visiting the home of numerous leaders of the anti-apartheid movement.
Would you go back? The journey was grand, and, yes, there are a couple of cities we would possibly return to, for more extensive touring, given the opportunity.
