Who went: Paul and Frances J. Provost.

Occupation: Real estate brokers and owners of Provost and Associates Realty in Lodi.

Hometown: Lodi.

The trip: A "getaway" to China. You would not believe, five flights and a Yangtze River Cruise, all in eleven days. San Francisco to Beijing to Shanghai, and all the places in between.

Highlights: Our visit to the Three Gorges Dam Project, near San Dou Village, was the most memorable for Paul. It is said to be the most powerful dam in the world and took 17 years to complete. For Frances J., it was her 2-mile walk on the Great Wall at Badaling, considered one of seven man-made wonders of the world.

Would you go back? Although it was a wonderful experience, which we enjoyed, we would probably not return. There are many other parts of the world which we would like to experience going to, including India.

Readers who submit snapshots published in the Lodi Living section receive a free http://www.lodinews.com/">Lodi News-Sentinel tote bag.
