A funeral for Angelo Charles Giuffra, 80, of Lodi, who died April 19, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., Lodi. Committal will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne’s Community Plaza, P.O. Box 480 Lodi, Ca 95240; or to the donor’s favorite charity.

Edwin Alexander Jr.

A chapel service for Rev. Edwin Arthur Alexander Jr., 70, of Woodbridge, who died April 17, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Ben Salas Funeral Home, 149 4th St., Galt, with Rev. Allen Daniel officiating.

Committal will be follow at Galt Cemetery, 14180 Joy Drive.

Antonio Nunes

A Mass of Christian Burial for Antonio A. Nunes, 86, of Lodi, who died April 20, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 215 W. Walnut St., Lodi.

Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at E. Harney Lane, Lodi.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 Fairmont Ave., followed by a rosary vigil at 7 p.m.

A celebration of the life of Florence Holland Donavan, 93, who died March 22, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lodi United Congregational Christian Church, 701 S. Hutchins St., Lodi.

A memorial service for Christine Louise Patton, 61, of Thornton, who died April 17, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 484 Augusta St., Woodbridge.

Inurnment will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Lydia Emler

A funeral for Lydia Martha Emler, 91, of Lodi, who died April 12, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at  Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N. School St., Lodi. Interment will be held in Steele, N.D

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, Ca 95204.

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
