Between the hours of 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department received 118 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:


Municipal Code violation : 9:49 a.m. -- A male and female transient were aggressively panhandling outside the McDonald’s at 841 East Kettleman Lane.

Suspicious activity: 12:20 p.m. -- A resident on the 100 block of Ridge Drive said a man stood outside her home, watched her pull into her driveway and go inside before leaving on foot.

Drugs: 2:19 p.m. -- A man was smoking crack outside the entrance of a building on the 400 block of East Kettleman Lane.

Suspicious activity: 3:45 p.m. -- A man was tampering with an electrical beam in an alley behind the Main Street Hotel.

Suspicious activity: 10:19 p.m. -- A resident on the 0 block of West Pine Street said someone was trespassing into a vacant home nearby.


Burglary: 2:02 a.m. -- A resident on the 800 block of Rutledge Drive said someone broke into his vehicle outside his home. The suspect fled to Turner Road after being chased away.

Suspicious activity: 4:16 a.m. -- A resident on the 300 block of Meadowlark Way said a vehicle was sparked in front of their house with two people inside.

Suspicious activity: 6:10 a.m. -- A resident on the 1300 block of South Church Street said a man was outside their home pretending to fix his bicycle, but appeared to be watching the house.
