If you live in Lockeford and like things like pizza and beer and wrestling and football, then you're probably already familiar with the not-so-small Pizza Factory on Highway 88. It's a comfortable pizza joint, where kids play air hockey and arcade games while parents sit at bench-style tables drinking beer from the tap and eating generously topped pizzas.
There are several dining rooms in Pizza Factory. The first has a large flatscreen TV, where ESPN, UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) or the football games play with NFL Ticket. On game or fight days, Pizza Factory fills up fast. Part owner and manager Tim Flores says people even stood outside and watched the fight through the windows.
Pizza Factory has been in Lockeford for 26 years. It's changed a lot, and now offers more than pizza. Its salads, pasta dishes, calzones and deli and super sandwiches are also popular.
Obviously, Pizza Factory is known for its pizza. The Lockeford favorite is, surprisingly, the Lockeford Special ($6.75-$21.85). It's similar to a traditional combination pizza, and includes cheese, pepperoni, diced ham, onions, bacon, mushrooms, green pepper and anchovies on request.
The runner up for favorite pizzas is the all-meat pizza, loaded with cheese, pepperoni, salami, sausage, linguica, seasoned beef and Canadian bacon.
The fiesta pizza is in its own category, a combination of hot and cold: cheese, onions, olives, fiesta beef, cold lettuce and tomato and garnished with Cheddar cheese.
There are four gourmet pizzas: White, pesto and sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke and BLT (cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato).
If you prefer chicken on your pizza, there is the plain chicken pizza, and also Cajun chicken and barbecue chicken.
Though pizzas are made quickly, quality is something that isn't sacrificed. From pizza dough that is made fresh daily to vegetables that he chops himself, Flores says freshness is something that can always be found at Pizza Factory.
"We grate the cheese here. We slice all of the onions, bell pepper, everything," Flores said.

For the first time ever, Pizza Factory offers Dreyer's ice cream, perfect during these hot days. Fruit smoothies are available in pina colada, strawberry and banana.
But for the ultimate sweet treat, try Cinna-Sticks. It's a dessert pizza crust covered thick with cinnamon sugar and caramel sauce. It's a crunchy and soft all at once.
