Art on the Square and Run in Lodi next weekend
Art on the Square, one of Lodi's largest summer art events, is bringing 50 artists to the lawns of Hutchins Street Square today. Painters, jewelry makers, woodworkers and cartoonists will have booths set up to sell their creative pieces and offer a behind-the-scenes look at some of their craft.
Art on the Square showcases the fine art and high quality craft that captures the history, heritage, lifestyle and color of California and Lodi's wine country. This judged and juried event provides artists the promotional opportunity to meet with an audience of serious buyers and collectors at the Square.
For the general public, Art on the Square is the opportunity to enjoy art, entertainment, food and wine — all in one location.
Music will be different this year than in the past. Instead of a band playing the entire time, musicians will stroll through the booths as they play. Art on the Square will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with Red Circle Native American Dancing Circle opening and close with a performance by Patricia Moore.
Art on the Square is today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Hutchins Street Square, 125 N. Church St.
