Husband and wife painters, Ray and Peggi Roberts, are showing their figure paintings together for the first time May 1 through June 30 at the Knowlton Gallery, 115 S. School St., Suite 14. Many are familiar with Peggi Kroll’s figure paintings, but are only familiar with Ray Roberts as a landscape painter.
“Painting the figure is what got me into art.” Ray said. “Even as a child, I enjoyed drawing and painting people.”
Working alongside one another in their studio, Ray and Peggi can’t help but be influenced by one another’s work. 209-368-5123, www.knowltongallery.com.
