The soft glow of memories

Shines on laughter and on tears,

Bringing forth a warm nostalgia

As we look back through the years.

I am sure we’ve often wondered

Whey were were among the chosen few

To have had ringside seats in life’s theater

So much longer than most people do.

That can be a blessing or a burden,

Oft depended upon our choices

As we journey on life’s highway,

Listening to our inner voices.

So today we’ll just say, “Thank You,

That we can have a day so fine,

When we can once again be together,

To toast the class of ‘39.”
