Congratulations to Jonathan Higgins of Lodi, this week's Reader Review winner!
Rating (out of four stars): *** (out of four)
What did you like about this movie and why?
I liked all the action. The amazing visual effects really helped the action scenes come alive. I'm a comic book reader and I love learning more about my favorite heroes and villans. I also enjoyed the rare, but still there, funny scenes.
Who was the best character or actor, and why?
Hugh Jackman, who played Wolverine, was the best because he really showed Wolverine's rage, his "animal" side. But I also thought that John Wraith (Will.i.am) and Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) were very funny in some of their few scenes.
What disappointed you about this movie, if anything, and why?
In the scene where Wolverine first examines his new claws in the bathroom, the claws looked totally digital. They could have looked more realistic. Also, not all of the movie followed the comics, especially near the end.
If you were writing the sequel, what's one thing you would do?
I don't think this movie would be the best movie to make a sequel to, but if I did write a sequel, the one thing I would do is stay completely true to the comics because that's important.
Who would you recommend this film to?
I would recommend this film to comic book fans, action lovers and anyone over 11 or 12 years old because it's a little rough.
