Barbara A. Price
- About the poet
Barbara A. Price is a longtime Lodi resident. She and her
husband, Art, recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary.
Barbara enjoys many creative arts. She has written piano music and
lyrics, which she plays for her family. Poetry, painting, sewing,
ceramics and gardening are her favorite artistic expressions.
Earlier this year, Barbara asked family members to select a
favorite nature scene to be painted. At a family gathering in
Fresno, she gifted her sister, daughter and each of her four nieces
and nephews their individual paintings.

A horrifying tragedy
An unsuspecting day
The anguish of the loss of those
Beneath the ashes lay
A city met with suffering
And with untold agonies
Would rise above the pain
Because of those upon their knees
With love that would be rare
Comfort and compassion came
In things that they could share
City of America
Her strength showed itself strong
With courage she has stood the test
With grace her life goes on
