Changing Faces Theater Company is bringing the classic tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” to Jessie’s Grove Winery July 14 through July 23.
More than 60 children, teens and adults from Stockton, Lodi and Linden have come together for Changing Faces’ 10th summer production.
The theater company is staging the romantic tale with an all-U2 soundtrack. Their version of this story has been described as a “medieval rock and roll” re-telling of this tale.
Director Mike Bartram said the passion and hard work put into this show by the students is truly phenomenal. The students, he says, love what they do and enjoy getting to work together toward one common goal, putting up a top-notch production and having a lot of fun along the way.
The purchase of one ticket includes an Italian dinner catered by Wholey Ravioli, wine tasting, a pre-show marketplace, dessert and a pre-show performance of “Romeo and Juliet, Jr.,” which gives younger company members time to shine.
Show dates are Thursday through Saturday, July 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23. Tickets for dinner and shows are $35 with an option to buy show only tickets for $20 on the 14th and 21st. (Dinner is available all 6 nights, but there is an option on July 14 and 21 to purchase show-only tickets.) Jessie’s Grove Winery is located at 1973 W. Turner Road in Lodi.
The box office can be reached at 327-2754. For more information contact Mike Bartram at 747- 8043 or visit www.changingfacestheater.org.
