Are you an artist who has contemplated showing your work at one of Lodi’s First Friday Art Hops? Now is the time to give it a shot.
The Lodi Arts Commission is looking for artists of all types and abilities to participate. For information, email Deanie Bridewell at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit one of the participating venues directly.
Local artists interested in showing and selling their works at Hutchins Street Square’s Thomas Theatre Gallery and other venues should submit the following items to the Arts Commission:
- 3 to 5 jpg files of proposed art work.
- A one-page artist’s statement.
- An artist’s resume/bio (no more than two pages).
There is no deadline. Artists will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participating venues include: The New & Again Consignment Furniture Gallery, Thomas Theater Gallery at Hutchins Street Square, Lodi Community Art Center, Lodi Public Library, The Dancing Fox Winery & Bakery, Arbor Senior Apartments, Fields Family Wines, Taste of Heaven and McKinley’s Frame Shop.
At the First Friday Art Hop events, people are invited to celebrate Lodi arts at the various venues. Permanent and temporary gallery spaces are open to the public the first Friday of each month. This free event invites the public to view art, meet the artists, listen to music, and sample wine and hors d’oeuvres.
