Often I hear children say,

“There is nothing fun, to do today.”

Listed here are quite a few,

great fun things I used to do.

Memories fond, that I recall,

I wish I could relive them all.

Picnic’s and great swimming holes,

Bare feet and fishing poles.

Sunburns and freckled faces,

Best friends and secret places.

Hopscotch squares and summer fun,

skinned knees and races run.

Hide and seek and sunny skies,

Humming birds and butter flies.

Flying kites and climbing trees,

Lightning bugs and evening breeze.

Bubble gum and ice cream shops,

Chocolate bars and lollipops.

So just turn off that old TV,

There’s much to do and much to see.
