Summertime is a time for activities, for family bonding and delighting in new discoveries. And for many Lodi-area families, summer leads to Micke Grove Regional Park just south of town.

The park is located on 258 acres of land donated to San Joaquin County in 1938 by William and Julie Micke, a Lodi farming family turned philanthropist. As a gift to the citizens of San Joaquin County, Micke wanted the land developed into a park for all citizens to enjoy. Micke died in 1964, but his legacy continues.
