Tori Lauchland was born with a heart for cheerleading. After dedicating four years to the Lodi Junior Flames as a member of the cheerleading squad, she has now decided to utilize her skills to coach other kids in the organization.
Working with the girls 12 hours each week, this busy high school student enjoys watching them improve their skills and perform with confident, radiant smiles. As a coach, she is determined to teach the girls to do their personal best, stating, “I make sure I embarrass myself as much as I can so they feel better about themselves and realize they shouldn’t care what others think. They just laugh at me!”
“It has been very rewarding to spend my time encouraging these girls,” she says. Tori explains that coaching has given her a special sense of accomplishment and she would encourage other students to take the opportunity to help when it comes along.
