Lincoln Technical Academy (on the corner of Cherokee and Pine streets in Lodi) houses the Regional Occupation Center and Adult School for Lodi Unified School District.

Our school offers a host of career-based courses which are available to 11th and 12th graders and in some cases, adults. Lodi Unified high school juniors and seniors are transported daily from their home high school to LTA by school bus.

Our classes compliment the education students receive at their primary high school. Many of our students have experienced satisfying and successful careers after completing their education at Lincoln Tech.

The following is an example of one of our success stories, written by Nicholas Lim, a former student of Sandra Nishimura, Computer Services and Repair and Cisco Networking instructor.

“The ROP Computer Service and Repair class I took at Lincoln Technical Academy has helped me tremendously throughout my professional career. It provided the required skills I needed to troubleshoot computers and to provide networking services to customers.

My teacher, Mrs. Nishimura, placed me at an internship at “Computer Link” in Stockton as part of my ROP education which gave me exposure to several different technological experiences. When I attended San Jose State University to study Marketing, I was able to get a part-time job as a computer technician at the college, based on the hands-on and technical experience I gained in high school through my ROP class. I eventually became part of a group at SJSU which included computer engineers where my role was to collaborate with them and resolve technical problems at the University.

Once I graduated from college I found that my Information Technology and Business Marketing combination was a great fit for many businesses in the San Francisco Bay area. I currently work in Palo Alto, California for Varian Medical Systems as a Marketing Technology Specialist. I am proud to say the fundamental technical skills taught in Mrs. Nishimura’s Computer Service & Repair class opened many doors for me.”
