Dear T2T: I have a friend who always wants to copy my homework. If it were just every so often, I wouldn't mind, but he does it all the time! I don't want to be known as the nerd who doesn't want to cheat, but I am seriously not cool with doing all the work so someone else can take the credit.
I am not a confrontational person, but I need to find a way to stop this. It seems like I have to stop doing my own work so that he doesn't copy me, but then my grade will drop. I've thought about going to the teacher, but I am afraid that he will find out I did that and I will take all sorts of wrath from that. How would you handle this? — Eyes Off My Work

Answer No. 1:
I understand your problem; it happens all the time. It is a struggle when dealing with cheating, especially when they are a friend. You should tell her not to copy your homework so often, and if she's a true friend, she'll understand. She will not get very far in life if she continues to copy every single one of your homework assignments. So don't let her copy anymore! And also if you are a true friend you would not let her copy your work. So it was mostly on you the whole time it's your decision to not let her copy no hers and yet you still let her. So if you care about her you would help her figure out all of the work that she does not know how to do. And once you do that she will start getting on the good path for being a good student, and also a good friend in life. I t may seem like something as little as cheating on homework, but if she doesn't realize what she's doing is wrong now, she might not realize right from wrong later on in life. Ask her "what would your parents say about this?" and see what she says about it. Please take our advice about your friend. Hope everything works out or you, and that you and your friend can come to a conclusion about this. We wish you the best!

I believe that you should try your best to confront your friend and tell them that you're not comfortable with them copying your homework. Even though you got away with it in the past, you don't want to run the risk of getting in trouble.
