Lodi High School freshman Lauren Uniack is passionate about animals. Last year, she decided to donate a portion of her time volunteering at Oakwood Veterinary Hospital.

Twice a week, Lauren helps clean the litter boxes and bowls, grooms animals and occasionally has the opportunity to sit in on surgeries. You might also find her giving extra love and attention to the animals that have just come out of surgery.

When she isn't working with animals, you might find Lauren swimming for the Lodi City Swim Club, participating in 4-H or playing an instrument in the Lodi High School Band or San Joaquin County High School Honor Band.
