“Adelyn (Addy) Romine is a wonderful student and a caring person. She always tries her best and never lets a day go by without sharing with or caring for a friend. Addy sets a high standard for herself and isn't happy with just 'getting by' with her work. She has a sharp wit and a hilarious sense of humor! Addy truly is a Classroom Hero, someone her peers can respect and look at as being a leader.” — Mrs. Van Egmond

“Ethan Reece is a very responsible student who takes great pride in getting all of his schoolwork done and done as well as he can possibly do it. Not only does he take pride in his schoolwork, Ethan, also, sets a good example for the other students with his behavior. He treats other students with respect and is quick to help resolve any conflicts with his easy going demeanor. Ethan models behaviors that you would like to see in all students.” — Mr. Phelps

“I have known Ian Reece since he first arrived to Oak View as a kindergartener and have had the pleasure to be his teacher over the past two years. Ian is a hero to this school because I have personally witnessed him showing kindness and empathy toward his fellow students, even when he thought no one was watching. Ian is a hero because he serves as an example to his fellow students that what is really “cool” in life is working hard, respecting yourself and others, and taking personal responsibility for your actions.” — Mr. Franke
