Nov. 15: Youth Energy Summit — Interested high school students may participate as part of a student team to win scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000. Nov. 30: New — Stokes Educational Scholarship Program offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in your field while attending college. High school seniors with the following qualifications are eligible:
1) Intent to major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering.
2) U.S. citizen.
3) minimum SAT score of 1600 or ACT score of 25.
Dec. 1: The Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women who make the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts. Recipients are not selected based on GPA or financial need. Applicants must be girls between the ages of 14 and 17. The Soroptimist of Lodi and Lodi Sunrise clubs sponsor this award. Winners of the $500 local award are eligible to win $1,000 regional awards. Dec. 3: Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship Program awards thousands of dollars in scholarships at each level of competition, from local to national. Six local students will win scholarships, so don’t miss out by not applying. Five hundred national scholarships will be awarded ranging from $4,000 to $50,000. Get details or apply online. Letters of recommendation may be included as part of your exhibits.
Dec. 7: Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge offers scholarships to 30 students in 10th through 12th grade to fully fund attendance at the American Leaders Youth Summit at Valley Forge, Pa. These scholarships cover all summit costs, including airfare, housing, meals and transportation. Get details or apply online.
Dec. 15: Hispanic Scholarship Fund — College scholarships of up to $20,000 are awarded to high school seniors and college students of Hispanic heritage.
