Jan. 31: Premier Community Credit Union will award up to five scholarships to high school seniors and college freshmen. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and Premier Community CU members or child of a member. Download application online.
Feb. 1 (postmark): Carls Jr. Carl & Margaret Karcher Foundation will award sixty $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors and graduates who will enroll in a 2- or 4-year college or technical school for Fall 2013. Application is available Jan. 1 - only the first 1,000 California applicants will be considered!
Feb. 1: AXA Achievement Community Scholarship Program will award twelve $2,000 regional scholarships to high school seniors. Applicants must demonstrate ambition, determination to reach goals, respect for self, family and community and ability to succeed in college. Application is online.
Feb. 1 (postmark): Quality Scholarship Collaborative will award $6,000 scholarships to high school seniors who will attend a 2- or 4-year college or vocational school in Fall 2013. Must have demonstrated service to the LGBTQ community. Details and applications are online.
Feb. 1 (postmark): Does your household get a bill from Pacific Gas & Electric? PG&E Employee Resource Groups award many scholarships to college-bound local seniors for their academic achievements and community service. Must live within the PG & E service area. There are no ethnicity or gender requirements — for example, winners of the Women's Resource Group Scholarships may be male, etc.
Feb. 1 (postmark): Christermon Beverage Industry Scholarship - The California Beverage Industry offers scholarships in amounts from $2,000 to $5,000 to high school seniors and community college students who will enroll in a four-year college in Fall 2013. Eligibility requirements include: 1) parent and/or grandparent are owners of, or employed by an individual or corporation holding a California liquor, beer or wine license, 2) participation in Sports and/or Performing Arts extracurricular activities during 11th and 12th grades.
