They say that the heart that loves is always young. Eleven-year-old Vinewood Elementary School student Julia Gillespie is helping the seniors at LOEL Center stay young.

She can be found helping out at each dinner and dance that the LOEL Center holds. You might find her serving dinners, cleaning up, handing out door prizes or just visiting with the seniors. As she builds relationships with her elders, the attendees enjoy the youthful energy she brings to the venue.

Though she is humble to take credit for this meaningful volunteer work, she feels that it is a reward just to watch the seniors have a good time. When she isn't serving, Julia enjoys painting, hanging out with her friends, watching TV and playing with her dog Layla.
