Feb. 16 postmark/email

Does your household get a bill from Pacific Gas and Electric? PG&E Employee Resource Groups award many scholarships to college-bound local seniors for their academic achievements and community service. Recipients must live within a PG&E service area. There are no ethnicity or gender requirements. For example, winners of the Women’s Resource Group Scholarships may be male.

March 15 postmark

CANERS Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors and current college students who will major in horticulture, agribusiness, viticulture or pomology. Application is online.

March 30 postmark

Tokay Stitch ‘N’ Quilt Guild — will award one $1,000 scholarship to a Lodi Unified School District senior who will continue his or her education at a 2- or 4-year college, technical school or art school. Candidates must have an interest in textile arts (quilting, sewing, crochet, knitting, rug hooking, embroidery, weaving, etc.). Pick up an application in your school’s Career Center.

April 1

Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation Scholarships are available to high school seniors and adults, and are both merit-based and need-based. Approximately $10,000 is available for funding each year for one or more eligible candidates, with 50 percent of the annual scholarships given to individual(s) pursuing a career in nursing or health-related field. (The other 50 percent is awarded to students who may NOT be pursuing a career in health related field.) Varying amounts will be given for 2-year college and accredited 4-year colleges. Minimum amount is $1,000. Awards may be renewed. Apply online.

Available now

California Alarm Association will award $40,000 in scholarships this year to children of active-duty law enforcement and fire service personnel. Application and information is online.

April 3

Lodi Pupil Personnel Association will award two $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who are planning to major in speech and language pathology, counseling, nursing, or psychology. Applicants should have a good academic record and involvement n school clubs or community service. See your school’s Career Center for more information.
