Dear T2T: I sent a letter to my former district manager telling him about all the things my former manager was doing while I was employed there. She really messed me over and I wanted to let him know. I am worried if maybe I shouldn’t have, because I really don’t want karma to come back and get me. I’m worried that maybe she will come back and try to retaliate.

Sounds like you’ve got quite the dilemma, I understand what type of situation you’re in and how confusing it can be. Just know that you did the right thing and it was the appropriate thing to do.
You shouldn’t be be afraid of karma or your former manager retaliating because if you were treated unfairly at the workplace the only professional and responsible thing to do is notify a higher authority which in your case was your district manager. Don’t worry about karma coming back to get you because you didn’t do anything wrong. In fact, you should be very proud of yourself in how you handled the situation.
It was very professional and we at T2T commend you just for that. Just know that you shouldn’t be afraid of speaking out for yourself especially if it involves unfair treatment at the workplace. You need top know that telling people your situation if you feel uncomfortable the best thing to do, don’t let yourself go through that you can probably prevent from happening. We are sorry to hear about your situation, however what you did was the right thing to do. Your job should be fair and you shouldn’t have been messed over. You shouldn’t have to worry about karma. As long as you are doing what you’re supposed to do, you shouldn’t be worried that your former manager will come back and retaliate. Let the district manager deal with it.
By emailing the district manager about this situation, they might be able to do something about this for your benefit. You never know, some of your other former coworkers might be in the same situation as you and this could help them as well. She really cant come back and retaliate because you didn’t do anything that would cause her to, and also because she is your former manager. Let this situation play out its self.
You did what you can, which is the right thing to do, and let the district manager deal with it. Don’t worry about karma coming back to you, there was nothing you did, so in this situation your former manager is the one who karma is coming back to her. If you really feel that it is necessary to inform your district manager about the things your former manager is doing to you then you should. If this is making you uncomfortable then something needs to be done. Karma won’t come back to get you if you are doing this to resolve the problem and not to just be mean. You should feel comfortable in your working environment so you shouldn’t worry if your former manager will retaliate because this will help you in the long run. Its more important to excel in your job then to feel uncomfortable at your job and feel taken advantage of.
