“Lorenzo Mendoza is a classroom hero. He has a positive attitude that is contagious. Lorenzo is caring and well liked by everyone in our class. He always strives to do better and encourages others to do their best and reach their goals as well. Lorenzo wants to do his best in school so he can make a better life for himself and his family.” — Ms. Coughlin, teacher

“Jaqueline Delgado is such a positive role model in my classroom. She continually strives to always do her very best. Jaqueline will give 110% effort in every aspect of her learning. I have never seen her without a book in her hand as she has such a love for books. Jaqueline goes out of her way to help anyone and has such compassion for those who seem to struggle more than others. I can honestly say I have not once heard her utter an unkind word about anyone or anything. She truly has a heart of gold.” — Ms. Rott, teacher

“Martin Salgado is a young man who embodies many of our life skills including perseverance, friendship, caring, and responsibility. He comes to school every day with a smile and a positive attitude. No matter how difficult the task, Martin doesn't complain but does what he can to meet the challenge. He consistently treats others graciously and with kindness, as a true Classroom Hero should.” — Ms. Stanbridge, teacher
