Career and Technical Education is indeed an exciting way to learn! Lodi Unified School District’s Career and Technical Education students experience the connection between learning in the classroom and the real world.
These students rarely, if ever, ask “Why am I learning this?” Project-based learning gives them real problems to solve, and extensive partnerships with business/industry give them real businesses in which to work and real customers to serve.
Career and Technical Education courses are offered at all Lodi Unified High School sites and taught by innovative and creative educators who are experts in their career fields. These teachers challenge students through hands-on learning and by engaging them academically to reflect college readiness as well as 21st century career-ready standards.
Sixty-four individual Career and Technical Education courses are currently available throughout Lodi Unified District at the secondary level. Twelve nationally recognized industry sectors are represented in Lodi Unified including:

- Arts, Media, and Entertainment
- Building Trades and Construction
- Education, Child Development, and Family
- Engineering and Design
