Dear T2T: This is going to seem weird, but I’m a guy that doesn’t want to mess around with girls past kissing. I have a girlfriend of a couple months and she is all weirded out about this. It is causing a problem because she thinks it’s her and thinks she’s fat. It isn’t that at all but no matter what I say she won’t believe me. Any ideas on how to handle her? — Flipping complicated

Response No. 1:

It’s okay the way you’re feeling the way about your situation. You’re going to have to sit down and calmly explain why you don’t want to do things that you don’t want to do with her yet. Why don’t you try complimenting her more often? Try giving her a reason to not be so suspicious of why you wont go pass kissing. Explain to her that she should respect your feelings about that situation because you would’ve respected her feelings if she was in the same situation. Tell her not to rush into things because you guys haven’t been going out long. Everybody has there own comfort zone in terms of relationships and she needs to understand that if she can’t understand your position maybe you should move on and find someone with the same morals as you. And even if things don’t work out, give yourself time to find someone who makes you happy and shares the same morals. Don’t feel bad if she doesn’t want to be with you anymore, it just shows that she wasn’t the right one for you. I wish the best for you and your relationship, and hope our advice has helped you become more confident and open about your feelings.

Response No. 2:

It’s normal to be hesitant about taking your relationship to the next step. You guys have only been dating for a couple of months so don’t feel pressured. If she really likes you, she would respect your ethics and moral values. In a relationship, communication is important, so you guys should sit down and have an honest conversation about the topic. Explaining your beliefs in a serious manner will show your maturity in this situation and hopefully she can acknowledge your sincerity.
