Jeannie’s Cottage looks like traditional farmhouseCharming and quaint, Jeannie’s Cottage (409-18) looks like a traditional farmhouse. It features a covered wraparound porch, great room, dormers and upstairs loft. Entry into Jeannie’s Cottage is made directly into the great room. A corner woodstove and large windows along the same wall make the room bright and cozy. Shelves line one wall, which are great for displaying china or trophies. Above the entry are large half-moon windows. To the left of the entry are a dining area and kitchen. An island with an eating bar separates the great room from the kitchen. The kitchen counters are L-shaped and there is a large window over the sink. The pantry is found behind folding doors at one end of the counter. Making for a nostalgic touch, the full bathroom has a bathtub with claw feet and a bench at one end. The bathroom is adjacent to the master suite and utility room. The master suite has a built-in desk, wall closet and large windows. The utility room is spacious. It has a sink with a folding counter and a drying rod for clothes, coat hooks on one wall and a built-in desk. A door opens onto the covered porch and is close to the carport. This cottage has a carport instead of a traditional garage. Located opposite the bathroom are a linen closet and the stairs leading to the loft. The loft is a brilliantly lighted room, with two dormers and a full row of windows at one end. The loft could be used as another bedroom, child’s room or playroom. Or, for the budding artist, the loft could be ideally lighted for painting pictures. The possibilities are limitless. Overall, Jeannie’s Cottage would make a great vacation home or a home for a retired couple. It has 1,432 square feet of open living with so many extra features. This home’s beautiful lighting comes from its many windows and dormers.
