What are your immediate plans after high school?

Next year I'm attending Pacific Union College.

What are your future life goals, career or otherwise?

Undecided as to career, something that helps people, and I enjoy, hopefully.

What activities were you involved in during high school?

Choir and Lodian Singers, literary magazine editor, People to People Student Ambassador Program, Student Leader at Bible Conferences, Adventurer's Club and Vacation Bible School.

What awards, scholarships or special recognitions have you received?

National Merit Commended, Robert C. Byrd Scholarship, Pinnacle Award Distinguished Student.

What was your most memorable high school experience?

One of the trips -- I can't decide on a "best" -- History Tour, Singer's Tours, Senior Class Trip ...

Morgan Vogel

Morgan Vogel, 18

What are your immediate plans after high school?

This summer I will work at Leoni Meadows Summer Camp as a counselor. This coming school year I will attend Pacific Union College in the Napa Valley.

What are your future life goals, career or otherwise?

My life goals include raising a family in California, being involved in church activities, and perhaps becoming a marriage and family counselor.

What activities were you involved in during high school?

I was involved in band, singers, choir, Student Association, yearbook, drama, football, volleyball, some basketball, advanced placement English, and I have held a class office three different years.

What awards, scholarships or special recognitions have you received?

I received a full year scholarship during high school, received the Caring Heart Award and the Presidential Freedom Scholarship for community service, and I am an National Merit finalist. I have received a four-year scholarship to PUC.

What was your most memorable high school experience?

One of my many memorable experiences was hiking to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite with my entire senior class. It was quite the challenge and bonding experience!

What are your immediate plans after high school?

I am going to Pacific Union College.

What are your future life goals, career or otherwise?

After PUC I plan on attending Loma Linda University Dental School. Then I want to specialize in orthodontics.

What activities were you involved in during high school?

Varsity football, varsity volley ball, choir, singers, band, ski club, Student Association.

What awards, scholarships or special recognitions have you received?

Bank of America Achievement Award 3rd Place, National Scholar/Athlete Army Award, Mort Broffman Scholarship.

What was your most memorable high school experience?

Hiking up Half Dome with my entire senior class.

Bernadette Malqued, 17

What are your immediate plans after high school?

I'm passing up my admission to UC Berkeley to attend Pacific Union College next fall, but I might transfer after 2 years to Berkeley. I'll be pre-med with a major in psychology and a minor in piano performance.

What are your future life goals, career or otherwise?

I'm not sure what kind of doctor I'll be at this point, but I'm shooting for pediatrics. My secret ambition, though, is to use my entrepreneurial skills and venture out into the business world!

What activities were you involved in during high school?

Lodian Singers, concert band, Student Government, Student Association girl's sports coordinator, Student Association Spiritual vice-president, class secretary, newspaper editor, Yearbook theme coordinator, layout designer and assistant writer, varsity volley ball, varsity flag football, biology and chemistry tutor, St. Joseph's Medical Center volunteer, Lodi youth Commission Teen Lead.

What awards, scholarships or special recognitions have you received?

Aaron C. Heinrich Scholarship (full year tuition), Presidential Academic Fitness Award, Principal's List, Crocker Art Museum Young Musicians participant, Who's Who an the National Honor Roll.

What was your most memorable high school experience?

It would probably have to be climbing Half Dome in Yosemite during the "Senior Survival" trip. If it weren't for my friends, Charles and Ira, I would've never made it up that thing! But the view was so worth the sore legs and tan lines! I knew everyone had a great time -- it was an awesome bonding experience!
