Lodi Grape Festival and Harvest Fair

Festival Web site shows what you can see, do

As long as you have access to the Internet, you can find out anything you need to know about the 2004 Lodi Grape Festival and Harvest Fair — from ticket prices and contact numbers to historical data and past pictures.

Similar to previous years — the first time the newly designed Web site was viewed by the public was in 2001 — those who access the main page are greeted with a tremendous amount of information regarding Lodi’s annual fair which is held “in the heart of beautiful San Joaquin County ... the home of the Grape festival for over 60 years.”

And, from the main page, visitors are linked in user friendly fashion to such categories as:

• The festival’s hours of operations during its schedule run from Wednesday, Sept. 16 through Sunday, Sept. 19.

• A complete entertainment schedule for each day of the festival — complete with pictures of each performer.

• Admission prices for children and adults at the Grape Festival Grounds gates and including such special as opening day, Sept, 16, being Kids Day when all those 12 or under are admitted free.

Visitors to the web site can even download an updated map of the Grape Festival Grounds or get the best directions to get to the Lockeford Street site, no matter what point on the compass they’re coming from.

Additionally, through the thorougly organized “jump pages” — which are similar to a book’s table of contents — visitors to the site can get information on the grape stomp — including the fact that for the first time all the stomp events will be held on one day, Saturday, Sept. 18 — or other competitive exhibit entries.

The Web site also includes a printable form to purchase pre-sale tickets.

Additionally, the Web site’s main page has links to such other events as the “Taste of the Festival,” the festival’s competitive exhibits, the Butler Amusements carnival as well as other ever-popular events associated with the festival.

There is also a link to information regarding the Lodi Spring Wine Show.
