You can get to this year’s Grape Festival by car, bus or plane.
The festival provides on site parking at $5 per vehicle, and additional street parking is available throughout the adjacent neighborhoods.
Attendees can also used public transportation. GrapeLine’s Route 3 will take riders past the festival grounds, located at 413 E. Lockeford St. Bus fare is $2 with discounts given to senior citizens.
(However, if you choose to take a plane, the closest runway is the Lodi Airport located off Jahant Road and Highway 99.)
To get to the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds from northbound Highway 99, take the Central Lodi exit. Then go left at the top of the ramp onto Victor Road. Hang a right on Cherokee Lane and a finally take a left onto Lockeford Street.
From 99 south, take the Turner Road exit, continue South to Cherokee Lane and then go right on Lockeford Street until you reach the Grape Festival Grounds.
Regular admission into the festival is $7 for those 13 and up, and $4 for those who are 12 and under.
Advance sale price is $4 for both age groups and can be ordered on line through 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the Grape Festival’s Web site at www.grapefestival.com (Thursday, Sept. 16 — the festival’s opening day — is Kids’ Day and those under 12 get in for free.)
Tickets ordered after Sept. 8 will not be mailed out, but will be available to be picked up during open hours of the festal at the “will call” ticket booth at the main gate on Lockeford Street.
Pre-sale tickets for amusement rides at the Grape Festival have changed for this year’s festival. Bracelets, which are good for any one day, will be on pre-sale for $20. However, no tickets will be sold before the opening day of the festival on Thursday, Sept. 16. Bracelet prices are $25 at the festival.
Pre-sale tickets may also be purchased for cash at Longs Drugs Stores in both Lodi and Galt as well as at Lakewood Liquors in Lodi, or by cash or credit card at the Lodi Grape Festival box office, 413 E. Lockeford St.
The fair is open Thursday, Sept. 16, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17 and 18, from noon to midnight; and Sunday, Sept. 19, from noon to 11 p.m.
