Sacramento Street in the early 1900s

This early-1900s photograph shows busy Sacramento Street in Downtown Lodi from the vantage point of the Lodi Arch. Horses and buggies are shown diagonally parked at the hitching racks on the east side of the street. This kept the horses and buggies away from the storefronts, which pleased the merchants and street cleaners immensely.
