It is interesting to find out all this great history of the "little" city of Lodi where I was born and partially raised. I am relieved to hear that the fireworks festivities still are in existence. I am planning a vacation for 2010. I hope to include as much of those festivities as possible. I only hope that my children's and husband's experience is a duplicate to those fond memories I have from my childhood. It is still my most favorite place in the world.

Nice picture. I imagine my grandmother, who would have been 16 at the time, was somewhere in that crowd enjoying the parade.
