Lodi area's May Day Picnic attracted huge crowd in 1902

The month of May meant picnic time for Lodi-area pioneers when large groups gathered for huge planned events.

One of the biggest affairs was held for years in the quiet little town of Clements. On May 1, 1902, the town was the boisterous center of activity for hundreds of fun-loving folks 108 years ago.
