An early boomtown that busted, Elliott lives on only as a faded memory and short entry in local history books.

At one time, between the 1850s and early 1900s, Elliott was an active northern San Joaquin County pioneer town with more than 100 residents. The town had a couple of churches, a school, post office, several businesses and three large social groups, the Grange, the International Order of Odd Fellows and the International Order of Good Templars.
