Lunching in the surf or dining between swims, the girls who frequent Surf Beach, Alameda, have adopted a new fad as the result of a desire for amusement and diversion. Misses Marina Bennett and Marguerite Brack, both well known swimmers and water nymphs, the latter from Lodi, yesterday set up an improvised table loaded with dainties in the water and ate while swimming around.

The stunt attracted a number of the beach frequenters, who watched the girls enjoy the unique meal. The tray which carried the cups, saucers and plates had to be balanced while the girls were eating and swimming, but otherwise they experienced little difficulty.
