Joy riders stole Mrs. Emma Boyce’s Cadillac automobile Tuesday night from in front of the Yosemite theater in Stockton, drove the car all night and abandoned it on Stanislaus Street when the gasoline gave out.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Turner drove to Stockton in the machine to witness the opera, “Going Up.” They parked the machine across the street from the theater, and when they came out of the playhouse the machine was gone. They immediately notified the police, secured a ride with Mrs. Bertha Ryan and came on home.
