The Greater Lodi District is ready to combat any wave of communistic activities designed to prevent the harvest of grapes here. Col. Walter E. Garrison, chairman of the farmers committee, has 148 deputies ready to assist regular law enforcement agencies should the emergency arise.

Building of a huge stockade will take place the first of next week on South Main street. The stockade is to be built from a special allotment of funds made by the County Board of Supervisors.
