The Tokay 1913 is a paperbound Lodi Union High School yearbook, about the size of a small town's thin telephone book. It's a glimpse into the past a century ago when student life was much like it is today and yet so different.

"Yes. It has been a glorious year, for the seniors, particularly; perhaps because we realize that this is our last year in high school," wrote yearbook editor and senior Clifford Mason. "Tomorrow we step into the world of business or into the 'studious cloister' of the university. We cast a wistful glance over the four years, which in the beginning seemed so long, but which in retrospect seem so brief; and a voice whispers, 'Tempori parendum.' We turn and face the future."
