It’s no secret that good nutrition is vital for good health. It’s just as important, if not more, when we are recovering from illness, surgery, broken bone, etc.
When our bodies are recovering, there is a lot of activity going on at a cellular level — making new cells, repairing damaged one, all of this takes extra nutrients. This is why, once again, eating a variety of foods that give us vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals — those from “nature’s wrapper” — is what we need.
