February is the month to celebrate love and our hearts, so it’s a good time to review ways to reduce the risk of heart disease. It remains the leading cause of death and affects women as well as men.
In 2010, the American Heart Association (AHA) introduced “Life’s Simple Seven,” which are steps to take to reduce risk of heart disease. Heart disease includes heart attack, heart failure and hypertension, all of which are too prevalent in our society, and much of which can be avoided.
