Proper food choices are important during times of stress

Everyone experiences stress. It’s part of life for many, but if it becomes excessive, stress can increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, cancer and many gastrointestinal disorders. Stress also affects nutrition. When the body is under stress, digestion and absorption of nutrients are impaired.
