Good news on the doorstep ... the Delta takes one more step: One of McCay Cellars' Lodi grown Zinfandels was listed among the Top 100 Wines of 2010 by the San Francisco Chronicle.

This news is significant because wine judges and critics have never been known to voluntarily acknowledge the surging quality of wines that come from the part of California John Fogerty once castigated in song. Ironically, Fogerty has long since admitted that when he originally wrote "Lodi," he had never been to Lodi — he actually picked "Lodi" because he thought the name sounded "cool."
