Dear Jennifer: Recently you wrote a column explaining the difference between "unified" and "union" school districts. It was very informative. How can I know if my student will attend school within a specific district? For example, would she automatically attend Oak View Union Elementary School District since we live in Acampo?

Not neccesarily. It is important to call the school district first before moving to check on attendance boundaries. Where you live can affect the availability of bus service.
