Dear Jennifer: I know we haven't had the hottest summer, but we've sure seen some spikes in the mercury. I've heard that one way to beat the heat is to drink hot beverages. This supposedly raises your body temperature and makes it seem less hot. Is that true?

We sure have seen some hot days, but replicating that with what I pour into my body doesn't sound refreshing at all.
