Dear Jackie: I feel like nutrition research is always contradicting itself. So what am I supposed to do, eat whatever I want and hope for the best?

Often people hear in the news what seems to be contradictory results from scientific research and don't know what to believe. There are several reasons this happens, mainly due to either the way the studies are reported or the way they were conducted.
