My good cholesterol is low, and my bad cholesterol is high, so my doctor started me on cholesterol medicine. Does it still matter what I eat, since the medicine is taking care of the problem?
People often ask me, "Why do I have to watch what I eat if I'm taking medicine for my cholesterol (or blood pressure, or diabetes, etc.)?" I encourage them to think of it this way: If you are trying to drain a bathtub by removing the stopper, does it matter whether you leave the faucet running?
