What is a CSA farm and what can they do for you? A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm creates a direct connection between consumers and local farmers. Want to know how your fruit is grown and what types of chemicals (or hopefully lack thereof) are used to produce the seemingly healthy fruits and veggies that you serve to your family?

A CSA allows for open communication and education between those that are growing food and those who are buying it. Just last Wednesday, I received my first CSA produce box from Lucero Organic Farms on Morse Road. I had been looking for a local CSA farm for a long time and was delighted when I called the Luceros to learn that soon they would be participating in this valuable service.
