What is the attraction? Columbus Avenue in Chinatown-North Beach offers an eclectic experience of bars, local stores and old haunts from the Beat generation. Set aside an afternoon to spend some time exploring where one of the largest literary scenes blossomed in San Fran.
Where to go? We started the afternoon walking from Fisherman’s Wharf to Columbus Street. It was a good workout with steep streets and sweeping views of the city.
