What's the attraction: My son is in the fourth grade. So as many parents know, that is the grade when the mission project is assigned. So Chase picked Carmel to visit and research for his extra credit video, as well as see the mission he chose to build. He wanted to see the place where Father Junípero Serra was laid to rest. Serra founded eight missions in California. San Carlos Borroméo de Carmel was the second mission founded in the state.

The ride from Lodi was beautiful this time of year. Everything was still green. While arriving at the mission, it was packed as Mass was still going on. It was beautiful to walk on the grounds, listening to the angelic voices of the choir sing.
