Julie Kanemura was recently presented with the Girl Scout Gold Award. Her project focused on addressing the problem of Alzheimer’s disease and productivity.
She worked with Somerford Place in Stockton and made a planter box with a goal to help Alzheimer patients keep their minds busy by spending time gardening. She also created a pamphlet and spoke to classes with the goal of educating others. She then presented the project at the Girl Scout service unit meeting.
